April 29th | 9:30am-12:30pm Hone your lace knitting skills while immersing yourself in the fascinating rhythm of this tip-to-top diamond lace triangle shawl with guest instructor Sivia Harding. We will learn the basics of chart reading and examine intuitive ways to increase accuracy and speed in your lace knitting. Short-rowed points, optional beads and attached I-cord edging complete the shawl, and blocking is thoroughly discussed. This is a great project for beginning and experienced lace knitters alike. Prerequisite skills: Familiarity with all basic knitting stitches including: cast on, bind off, knit, purl, yarn overs and simple decreases. Some lace experience and/or chart reading experience is recommended.
